The six day Asian Poker Tour of the last year converted into massive 12 days poker festival. This remarkable even will be situated at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino, Macau. The poker tournaments are highly popular at this region and this fact explains the ambitious plans.
The festival provides a wide range of different online poker rooms and numerous networks including such large unions as Ongame Network, PartyPoker, Bwin, Dafa Poker, iPoker Network, Betfriends and 32Red. But this isn’t the full list of the participants and some of them will be known later.
Chris Parker, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour has said that this festival is the outstanding 12 days even full of fun and non-stop poker game. Asia has never seen such incredible tournaments before, this tour will be interesting for the poker gamers of all levels.
The last year festival has attracted such famous people in gambling sphere as Doyle Brunson, Jack, Binion, Johnny Chan, Liz Lieu, Kenny Tran, Poker Pack members Nam Le, JC Tran, Steve Sung, Kwang Soo Lee and many other poker celebrities. The winner of the 2008 Asian Poker Tour Macau Main Event became 20 year old Yevgeniy Timoshenko from USA. He got a nice payout of US$500,000, beating the poker players from 40 countries all over the world.
The last event of Asian Poker Tour ran in January of 2009 and the main prize of US$185,000 was won by Neil Arce, who became the best of 262 players.

World Series of Poker Circuit has recently held at the Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. This remarkable event has been extremely interesting and exciting, Juan Jaramillo 32- year-old businessman can be called the main hero of the day. He is one of the most outstanding final table players during the 5 years of organizing the Circuits.
All his actions during one hour and a half final table show can be literally called perfect, This final could be the fastest in the history of Circuits and it yield only to the one hour and ten minutes set of Harrah’s New Orleans, which happened 3 years ago.
It was 300 dollars buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament with 231 entries and the top prize of 67,221 dollars, which were given to the last 27 players.
Juan Jaramillo was born in Ecuador and was living in San Diego during 9 years. He plays poker just for fun, but he is a good player and this is his first victory and the second time when he cash in a tournament. He wins the prize of 16,305 dollars and the gold ring which is given to the champions of the events of World Series of Poker Circuit. Besides of Juan Jaramillo we can mention Jarno Laupman, Holland, 28 years old, who wins the second place and gets a good prize of 10,083 dollars.
By this time the most part of the events has been already completed, the tournaments have collected about 3,000 entries and have paid out more than 2 million dollars. The WSOP Circuit takes place till the 30 of April.

Last week a thrilling poker epic unfolded at the City West Hotel, Ireland, Dublin. The 2009 Paddy Power Poker Irish Open met 700 participants becoming the second largest event in the history of the competition.
This year Christer Johannson, poker pro from Sweden triumphed after a tense 80 minutes heads up against Kara Scott, poker player and TV personality.
Both players managed to beat lots of strong players such as celebrated Neil Channing, WSOP Main Event winners of different years, Dan Harrington and Jamie Gold. There were also Respected famous Brian Townsend as well as Ciaran O’Leary and Marty Smyth, WSOP bracelet holders. Among the leaders there was Phil Laak, Bradley Verburg, Julian Thew and Andrew Pantling.
Pantling with 2 286 000 chips looked very promising when the final table was forming. The other finalists were Lee Brooke-Pearce - 998 000, Atanas Gueorguiev - 990 000, Christer Johannson - 906 000, Kara Scott - 701 000, William Kassouf - 569 000, Andrew Bradshaw - 351 000 and Brad Verburg - 217 000.
Final actions were lively; the first four players were eliminated rather quickly. There was an intense poker playing in the final four. And 90 minutes after it started, Gueorguiev exited on the fourth place. At this stage, Kara Scott held almost 70% of the chips and was the leader. She could have become the fifth woman to win the Irish Open since its beginning in the 1980s.
But then Johansson beat Pantling who occupied the third place, and stayed head-to-head with Scott and decreased her chips down to 400 000 chips. After 13 hands were played Scott raised the stakes to 140,000 and Johansson flat called. The flop was J-7-K, Scott’s chips were half decreased and Johansson called. After turning up the cards, Johansson led having K-3 that was top pair against J-9 of Scott for second pair. A saving card didn’t come on the turn and river and Johansson became the 2009 Irish Open winner, taking the €600, 000 as the main prize.
Scott was also happy since she achieved her best result in tournaments received a cheque for €312,600. The prizes consisted of six figures were distributed among the sixth finalists in the game.
The record field with a €2.2millon prize pool was shared by the first 70 finishers in the event.
